GMIT - German Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology

The Faculty 5 and the Department of Geography have been involved in the project "GMIT - German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology" for 10 years now.

The goal of the overall project is to establish an internationally oriented and quality-oriented university in Mongolia. The Institute of Geography supports the project sponsors in this task.

During the 10th anniversary celebration in Mongolia, which was attended by the Vice Dean Prof. Preuße and the project leader Dr. Knippertz, a student exchange agreement between the GMIT and the Faculty 5 was signed.

Dr. Knippertz received a high honor for his commitment to Mongolian education from the Mongolian Minister of Education during the ceremony.
