Dear Applied Geophysics students,

Aachen is a city to the west of Cologne located at the border to the Netherlands and Belgium. It is well known for its thermal springs that have already moved Charlemagne to Aachen who built his residence here.

In 1870, RWTH Aachen University was founded and today, it is one of the leading technical universities in Germany. Young students and researchers from all over the world come to this place and bring their expertise and experiences.

We hope that you will enjoy your time in Germany and we will do our best to make your stay as successful and comfortable as possible. If you have questions, problems or comments, feel free to contact us at any time.
