Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering with at least 180 ECTS, of which at least:
  1. 85 ECTS in geoscientific modules
  2. 5 ECTS in geoscientific field work
  3. 30 ECTS in mathematical, chemical and physical modules
  • Interest in nature-related and geoscientific tasks
  • Good IT and language skills (“Applied Mineralogy and Crystallography” and “Energy and Mineral Resources” are taught in English)
  • Good verbal and written mode of expression

Language of Instruction

  • Geoengineering (GIN): German (C1) and English (B2)
  • Applied Mineralogy and Crystallography (AMC): English (B2)
  • Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR): English (B2)

Admission with stipulations

Possible up to a maximum of 30 ECTS. The stipulations have to be fulfilled before registration of the Master's Thesis.

Costs

In addition to the regular semester fees you should calculate around 500 Euros per year for field courses.

Mobility

The realisation of semesters abroad and practical semesters are strongly recommended. There are so called “Mobility modules” available for the appreciation of achievements abroad.
