Class of 2022/23
32 out of 37 applicants have been selected for the ERASMUS+ program and received a place for the winter term 2022/23 or summer term 2023.
The ERASMUS+ exchange places at the Universities of Bergen and Trondheim as well as Copenhagen were particularly in demand this year. The department is very pleased to be able to send students to Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, the Baltic states, as well as to the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Portugal and Switzerland (SEMP program) through the ERASMUS+ or SEMP program in the coming academic year. In particular, the new cooperation with the Italian University of Catania was very well received and two students from the GuG department and one student from the FRE department will embark on an exciting semester abroad in Sicily in the shadow of Mount Etna.
But also in the field of non-European university cooperations students of the department were successful with their applications and will spend one or two semesters in Oman and Brazil in the next academic year.
Ida: Catania - Climbing the Ätna
Catania, within sight of Mount Etna, is the perfect base for geological excursions to Taormina, Mount Etna, Aci Trezza and Cefalù. The volcanic origin of Sicily is expressed there in basalt columns, pillow lavas and tuff.
