RWTH Aachen University and the Erasmus+ program support you in improving your foreign language skills even before your stay abroad.

Language Center RWTH Aachen University

As soon as you have received a confirmation from us for an Erasmus+ stay abroad, you will be granted a right of first refusal at the Language Center of the RWTH Aachen University for the corresponding language of your host country, provided that this language is offered. Language offer and dates can be found here.

OLS

Erasmus+ offers also an Online Linguistic Support; OLS for short. The Online Linguistic Support includes:

• A compulsory test before and after the mobility according to the Common European Framework of References for Languages. These tests serve solely to document and analyze the development of language skills.
• A compulsory online language course. You will receive access from the International Office after we have confirmed your stay abroad.

Tests and language courses are free of charge.

Summer or winter courses at universities

Almost every university offers paid summer courses and / or winter courses. Check the university pages of the country whose language you would like to learn.

If you are already nominated for a stay abroad inform yourself on the homepage of your host university whether a language course is offered before your stay.
