Antonia Kleinschmidt
Course of study: B.Sc. Applied Geosciences
Why earth sciences? I actually only started AGW because I just wanted to start something. But I stuck with it and today I think geophysics in particular is very cool!
My best memories of the past semesters: chatting together with my favourite fellow students in addition to the online lectures.
Jule Faaß
Course of study: B.Sc. Georesources Management
Why earth sciences? I like the natural sciences and wanted to learn more about the Earth system. On field trips, you can get out into nature and see on site what you learned in the lecture hall.
My best memories of the past semesters: the field trips and the chemistry practical. All the events that take place in presence and where I see my fellow students.
Fiona Lilienbecker
Course of study: B.Sc. Applied Geosciences
Why earth sciences? Since a young age, I have been interested in natural sciences and really like the practical application in the field. The diverse application areas of geosciences finally convinced me
My best memories of the past semesters: The field days and the mapping course, as well as the time with my fellow students before and after lectures.
Solveig Railio
Study program: B. Sc. Applied Geoscienes
Why Earth Sciences? I have been very interested in the earth for a long time and the areas from my school days in geography that went in the direction of geology also fascinated and convinced me. It's also great that you can practically apply what you learn in the field.
Best memory of the past semesters: The mapping course and the field days, as well as many conversations with my fellow students during and after the lectures.
Philip Khoury
Course of study: M.Sc.. Applied Geosciences
Why earth sciences? Earth Sciences are not only a wide-ranging and diverse course of study, but also very useful. In the future, many of the things we learn and research will have major relevance.
My best memories of the past semesters: I really like the combination of theory and practice in the field. Also, the atmosphere within the rather small study program is always relaxed.
Lisa Voßkühler
Course of study: M.Sc.. Engineering Geohazards
Why earth sciences? The excursions and fieldwork, but also learning together with fellow students or chatting together alongside the online lectures.
My best memories of the past semesters: After dropping out of my mechanical engineering studies, I wanted to study something with more practical relevance and came across AGW through the student counseling service and have stuck with it ever since.
