Group representation

Group representation in the Division "Earth Sciences and Geography"

All status groups of the Division each form group representations, which contribute to the formation of the decision-making of higher education policy and to the advice on decisions in the various committees of the Division. The group representation therefore serves as a communication platform and coordinates the interests of the respective status group.

Group of professors

All professors of the Division "Earth Sciences and Geography" are represented in the group of professors. The group is coordinated by the acting Divisions spokesperson or the respective deputy and meets in regular professories to exchange views on upcoming topics. Elections for the office of section spokesperson or spokesperson as well as the deputy are usually held every two years through the Division Council. The full-time professors of the Division are entitled to vote.

Group of scientific staff

The group representation of the scientific staff represents the interests of all scientific staff members of the Division "Earth Sciences and Geography". From the chairs and teaching and research areas associated with the department, a chairwoman or a chairwoman is elected as the representative of interests. The group is coordinated by the scientific staff member who received the most votes in the electoral list for the Faculty Council, which is jointly conducted with the Division of Mineral Resources and Raw Materials Engineering. The group spokesperson is at the same time a voting member in the section and (if necessary as an alternate) member of the faculty council.
