German-Indonesian Geo-Campus
In the future, international research teams will be able to deal with challenges like sustainable groundwater management, climate change or the environmentally friendly development of raw materials on a state-of-the-art research campus and geo-lab that is currently being built in the central Javanese city of Yogyakarta in Indonesia.
Together with the Gadjah Mada University and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Research and Technology, the RWTH Aachen University is building a competence network that sees itself as a service provider, not only for researchers, but also for politicians and industrial companies.
The speaker of this event, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Thomas R. Rüde, is responsible for the implementation of the project on the German side. In his presentation he introduced GetIn-CICERO and some of the focus topics of it.
Thomas R. Rüde has been full professor for hydrogeology at the Department of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology at the RWTH Aachen University since 2005 and is responsible the cooperation of this renowned University with Indonesia.
