Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering with at least 180 ECTS, of which at least:
  1. 45 ECTS in geoscientific modules
  2. 5 ECTS in geoscientific field work
  3. 20 ECTS in mathematical, chemical, and physical modules
  4. 5 ECTS in economic and jurisprudential modules
  5. For both fields of specialisation: German speaking and writing skills at a C1 level of the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages”
  6. For the field of specialisation Resources and Energy Management (REM) only: English speaking and writing skills at a B2 level of the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages”
  • Interest in nature-related and geoscientific tasks
  • Interest in economic and legal coherences as well as statistical methods
  • Multidisciplinary thinking and writing skills
  • Good IT and language skills
  • Good verbal and written mode of expression

Language of Instruction

  • Environmental Management (UMA): German. Some lectures are taught in English
  • Resources and Eneergy Management (ROM): German and English

Authorization with stipulations

Possible up to a maximum of 30 ECTS. The stipulations have to be fulfilled before registration of the Master's Thesis.

Costs

In addition to regular semester fees, around 500 Euros per year for field work

Mobility

The realisation of semesters abroad and practical semesters are strongly recommended. There are so called “Mobility modules” available for the appreciation of achievements abroad.
