Admission Requirements

  • Interest in nature (mathematics, chemistry, physics) geoscientific and technical tasks
  • Interest in economic and legal contexts as well as statistical methods
  • Good mathematics, computer and language skills
  • Willingness to work at the computer, in the laboratory, on construction sites and in mines, partly under extreme conditions in structurally weak areas
  • Good verbal and written mode of expression
  • Capacity for teamwork


German. Only a few courses are taught in English


In addition to regular semester costs, around 500 euro per year for field work


The realization of a semester abroad respectively practical semesters is strongly recommended. The so called “Mobility modules” are available for the appreciation of achievements abroad

First semester program

Orientation events take place one week before the start of lectures

Preliminary courses

Participation in the preliminary courses on mathematics, chemistry and physics is strongly recommended.
